I graduated summa cum laude with my Bachelor’s in Graphic Design from San José State University, and I also have a certification in Interactive Web and Media Design from UCSC.
I currently work as a senior graphic designer turning complex problems into intuitive solutions. My creative approach—no matter the medium—is to find points of tension behind the idea I’ve been assigned or am interested in. I do several iterations on each point and usually end up refining the one I find most controversial. Ultimately, it’s all about creating memorable experiences.
I am currently living in San Diego, CA, but seeking additional work anywhere that I can seize opportunity and creative challenges.
Creative design and conceptual art direction should be a conversation between art and strategy. It’s not enough for something to just look pretty. Touching in on the psychology of user experience, I make sure that interfaces, language, and graphics are friendly, emotive, aesthetically pleasing, clear, on-brand, and usable.
I’ve got one foot in the world of print, the other in the world of pixels, and a love for both. As a professional graphic and web designer, I bring a range of art and design disciplines to every project I work on.
